Feeling calm, going quiet
When I was pregnant with Marie-Hélène, I was taking first year university. I laugh and say to other people that I fell pregnant largely because of the exhiliration of pursuing my education and leaving behind a fine office job.

At Home
Inside, outside
Winter generally makes for more inside-than-outside days... This is Marie-Hélène playing with buttons and beads and not noticing that I've got the camera in my hands. She's had a button collection since she was two. At Home
Soon to double the fun
This is Marie-Hélène very hard at work...
Being pregnant, I'll sit on the couch to read and sometimes doze off. Marie-Hélène occasionally joins me, making herself a little nest in the crook of my folded legs.
One day I came into the living room to see her stuffed pets like so:
I asked her what they were doing, and she said, matter-of-fact, "They're at the optometrist's."

In the Kitchen
Back to simple
Whereas I usually go for new recipes and tastes, I'm finding myself craving the tried-and-true. Simple lunches, comforting suppers. Of course, it makes for a rather uninteresting kitchen section...
